pros- louder, more power
cons- louder, has potential to make engine bay dirty if not done properly, more pollution |

| i installed an open dump on my friends srt 4, even though its a totallt differant car and those cars are loud even with a stock exhaust, it took him 24 hours from the time the dump pipe was installed to get pulled over. but it sounds amazing. |

I prefer recirculating the dump.
If you do it correctly, you'll see minimal loss in hp. |

Open dump is definitely louder and can be more resistant to boost creep at higher boost levels with lager turbos.
It is a dirty way to go, but a proper tubing setup will divert the gases low enough under the engine bay to minimize contaminents.
I ran both for extended periods of times. Sometimes you want to floor it without attracting too much attention. Open dump will not allow you to do that under any kind of heavy acceleration. Recirculating it allows you do do whatever.
I only gained 6whp going to open dump with the same conditions and boost level. |

yeah...I LOVE The sound of my open dump, and i've NEVER even gotten looked at wrong for noise,,,even when my exhaust was disconnected at the s-pipe, so no worries abou that here. Plus, it only REALLY gets loud at full boost, like Joe said, but there is NO WAY your gonna floor it and NOT hear it open up.
Normall cruizing and light boost, it's not much different then recirced...
but deffinatley get a dump tube to route it under the engine bay |

| Just so you know...aen had the treadstone mani, open dump, no tube, and the way the WG is positioned on that mani, it would dump DIRECTLY onto the alternator and it basically melted...shorted some sensors, I beleive... |
