|
|
I'm running 19" x 8.5" +35 wheels with Falken FK-452 (235/35-19) tires on all corners.
The max tire pressure for these FK-452 is 50 PSI (cold).
With these crappy pothole roads we have here, would running the following PSI (cold) be OK?
42 PSI Front
39 PSI Rear
I would think the extra PSI would give better wheel protection (and gas mileage) for these 19's.
Although….. the ride is going to be on the rough side.
The stock 16" x 6.5" tires recommended PSI is 35 (Front) and 32 (Rear) with a 44 PSI max.
Any recommendations or shared experiences would be very appreciated.
Thank you.

FWIW in this thread:
http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=184870&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=tire+pressure&&start=20
TRDPaul says the tire pressure label that is supposed to be applied when installing the TRD 19' with 235/35/19 tires the recommended pressures are
Front 39psi
Rear 37psi
That's what I run in my General Exclaim UHP's that size and it seems pretty good. Handles very well, rides OK and no uneven tire wear so far. |

| My 42 PSI Front / 39 PSI Rear approximation was a pretty close guess to TRD settings. So far, I've been running my tires at about 40 on all corners with no problems. The ride is still very smooth and not noisy... for a 19" wheel setup. For the price, I think those FK-452 a really good tires. Although those potholes always make me worried about bending a wheel or two...... yikes! |
