|
|
I'm driving to ILL in 3 months to pick up an 05 R1 :tap: (cant wait)
I need to haul it back on a small trailer.
All I can find are 1st gen harnesses.
Thanks, Eric |

| no where cause our cars werent designed to have trailers.. i suppose you can make one? i guess just tap either one of the tail lights and make a relay so that you dont burn out the fuse everytime you signal or brake |

The first gens weren't either and you can pick up the harnesses on ebay.
I thought about splicing and don't want to do it for two reasons. 1) I don't want any nosy service techs trying to void my warranty. 2) Last week I was trying to fart and squeaked off a little baby shart that ruined the next hour of my life and cascaded like a butterfly effect throughout the rest of the day making me late for everything. By extension my confidence in myself and all that I know has been shaken.
My point is, I want a plug and play kit because I can flip something up as simple as a fart. |

This is a couple listed for the newer xb, no instructions, but it just inserts between the plugs for the back lights.

RedShift.... you be sure to let us know if this works out. I was under the impression that thaose "T-Tap" wont work for us, cause of our stock wiring is too 'thin'...
I was told to get the other unit that required splicing &&& running a seperate power wire to the baattery to power the 'box' that controls the trailer lights...
hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmm......
I have been holding off.. So let us know if that T-Type pole connector works for you ok??? thanks... jh |

You are right. It is not a plug and play unit. I had to have mine wired by a stereo shop because I am a real hack when it comes to electrical. |

After lookng at the link you provided, I believe that is different than the one I bought and is just a plug and play unit. I bought mine last year when no suck thing was aound yet so mine was hardwired. I used a "Curt" kit. |
