| Fram's what came on the block, wasn't my choice. No sense in changing it yet when the whole bottom end is getting opened up. I bought a case of Toyota filters from TRD Sparks, will be throwing it on after install. |

Well, it won't be putting down huge numbers, but should be solid. I'm estimating around 160 WHP. It's not the most efficient (cost or performance-wise) setup but since my xB is in a lot of shows the WOW factor should be pretty good. I'm also planning on running it in the 1/4 mi. for at least bracket racing or against other xA/xB's. I'll be adding an intercooler and methanol injection prior to install as well, at 10:1 compression detonation may still be an issue so I'd like to reduce the chances as much as I can. The final build setup will be:
Wiseco 10:1 forged pistons 75.5mm (.5mm overbore)
Crower forged rods
Toga HP main and rod bearings
new stock valves
ported and polished head
polished supercharger manifold
Injen short intake
Greddy turbo
Greddy front mount intercooler
Greddy supercharger
eManage blue engine management
Greddy oil catch can
AEM methanol injection
colder spark plugs
2 1/4" cat-back exhaust w/ Flowmaster Hushpower II low-profile muffler
To make room for this setup, I will be parting out some of my other stuff. PM me if you're interested. I have a Weapon-R strut tower bar, Weaopn-R oil catch can, Weapon-R secret weapon intake, Strup header, Weapon-R engine half-cover, Perrin lightweight crank pulley, Perrin fuel rail, and a blue Greddy oil cap. |

Did you order the rods from Eloy? he had some at a pretty good price but that was last year I picked up 9.5:1 I also used the crower rods. Props to you and good luck
142.02 with more on the table I was hindered of course by the Auto Tranny. |

I was going to order from Paul @ Dezod. Haven't heard of Eloy, is he on ScionLife or does he have an online store?
I've got an auto trans as well, can't do too much besides throw on an oil cooler. |

wow that is going to be a nightmare to tune, mad props though, is ptuning doing the engine management tuning?
(hook some ITB's up while you're at it :devils advocate: ) |

Was going to take it to PTuning, though they don't know that yet. Hope they can handle it on blue or I'll need to upgrade to ultimate. Not sure how difficult it will be, s/c and turbo both have mechanically-controlled boost levels so their shouldn't be much variance between pulls, and in a serial configuration it's a straight shot through. I'm debating dual boost gauges though, one post-turbo and one for the intake manifold. wideband O2 will be a must as well. I've only got a 2-gauge pod though, looks like I'll need at least 4, boost, boost, AF/R, oil pressure. I'd like engine temp and trans oil temp as well, but not sur how to fit in 6 without making it look ricey, even though they would all serve a purpose and give early warning if something messes up.
ITB's are pretty much an impossibility you realize, they're normally done for n/a. I'd have to move the throttle to AFTER the supercharger, and if you look at the cast manifold, there's not much room there. I'm not sure it would even be possible on a boosted application since there would be a shared intake plenum anyway from the s/c. |
