| would it be safe to just run all my target afr's at 13.0 while in boost in closed loop or is this too lean even for partial throttle? I would just like to be able to set all my afrs the same on the f/ic so they don't keep averaging between the 4 cells like it does. |

| spend all that money for a car, and a turbo kit, and your too cheap to get it properly tune...or towed to a tuning shop...hope the $$$ you save doing this doesn't bite you in the butt and cost you $$$$$ |

| If your saying, 13.0 for WOT, then its way too lean. Youll be swapping new valves and pistons out in no time. I mean if thats what you want. |

| isn't it generally accepted to keep your afr's around 11 at wot? |

| Yea pretty much. I start off (3k rpm) at 10.3 and tapper off to like 11.4 (5.8k rpm). If you have a built up motor, it safer to run leaner in like the high 11s to mid 12s afr to get more power. But on stock internals, you want that extra fuel to keep things safe. Too much fuel isnt good though, because then your just bogged down and burning more than you need. |

He had no idea how to set the o2 skewing for the closed loop mode. so we only set up the wot stuff. the rest i have been learning on my own. hence the question of is 13.0 afr safe in CLOSED LOOP as in PARTIAL THROTTLE? This way I can just set the o2 skew table at one value and not have to worry about when it averages the 4 closest cells together which is what the f/ic does to keep things smooth |

yup closed loop partial throttle at 13's is fine.
as long as you aren't in straight wot and open loop then you're ok, also. make sure you aren't running around in full boost at high rpms then you are fine. like. don't go hit redline at full boost at 13 AFR...your car essentially starts running like it's wot at that point. |

my bad superwhite... i didnt properly read the whole question. Why 13 though? Seems a little rich for closed loop. |

| One thing you should also consider is how much boost is that 13.0 running, cloosed or open, 13 at part throttle at 3-4 psi would be fine but running 13 afrs at 8 psi partial throttle to me isnt for our NA designed car.. safe WOT afrs will be 11-11.5, IMO safe part throttle for our car is around 12-13 but depends on other factors |
