| That's not bad...I got my Viper 791XV two yrs ago for about $300 plus $120 or so for installation. I got the unit from a reputable ebay seller. But make sure you have it installed by an authorized Directed (Viper, etc.) installer---for warranty and peace of mind. |

find yourself a best buy. lifetime warranty on install, and since they are authorized viper/dei dealers then your lifetime warranty thru viper is valid.
most reputable installers won't touch units that aren't purchased from them.
$400 is a great price for a great unit |

I thought I saw one in the $200's from circuit city or best buy. Had the little remote that shows if a door is open or trunk and all that. Don't know the make of it though. Did you look there?
Even if I was "imagining things" I'm sure that one is a lot better than the factor and it cost a lot less so even at that price you're better off than stock. |

xk05 to bypass the immobilizer, it retails at $80 and an additional $30 in labor.
Best buy ONLY carries dei products so any alarm you get from them is kosher. If you wanna stay on the cheap look for a store that still has a 771 or 791 hangin around that they're tryin to get rid of... Granted, you don't get the mile range like you do with the 5900... |

| Ya they are much better than the 556UW where you have to put a spare key in the box then hide it under the dash. If they do it right it also hooks up to the factory alarm/disarm and the stock security light. A bunch of other little cool things. |
