just curious if anyone has the HKS es-wagon axle back with a header yet.
There is a video on youtube that is just the muffler and it sounds like stock. Complete waste of $350 if you ask me. There is also a video of the TRD axleback with a strup header that sounded alright but a little too ricey for my taste.
just curious to know if anyone has this setup yet, and if you do, post up a sound clip! |

| I have the HKS and it sounds good nice litle deep tone nothing loud at all. I will let you know what it souds like when I am boosted and the cats are removed. If you looking for some thing loud the HKS is not for you my friend. |

i like the HKS style. Listening to a boosted car with the same exhaust does nothing for me. A turbo car sounds a lot different than n/a even with the same exhaust setup.
The HKS is quiet and has a great tone with the cat/resonator on it, im curious if it will keep the tone but just be louder with the cat taken off. |

^^ Well any exhaust will be louder with the cat/ resonator removed sorry I could not help you, how about you try it for your self then let the rest of us know!

Yeah, even with the muffler is going to be very loud but at least not as raspy. I will be replacing my res/cat with a resonator 2.5 to the axel back wich is only 2.25. Not the best set up for power I know but I am willing to give up a few horses for comfort.

plain and simple, i dont want to spend the $350 on a muffler, $400 on a header then not like it.. |

I currently have a header with 2.5" S-Spipe and the HKS axel back.
It's not loud at all since I still have the scuba tank on. It gets pretty deep on low rpm though.
BTW, I'm selling my HKS axel back for 195 if anyone's interested. |

how is the quality on the ebay header?
did you feel any performance gains and where do you feel it most?
i have a weapon-r header and s-pipe combo and i really like it alot because it gives me much better launch but the high end 5800+rmp didn't get that much better improvement as compared to low - mid ( 2500-5400 rpm rough estimate) a friend of mine test drived it and didn't like it too much so i'm helping look around. |

| i get a nice top end. Only think I dont like about mine is that its pretty raspy. I'm not sure its the exhaust leak or the resonation from the design of the header |
