A lot of folks ask how many Scion xBs were made in their three year production run.
The answers are in many places, but HERE is one easy to use and understand table:
Scion xB Classic Production
Color200420052006Total
Black Cherry Pearl (3P2)290010,500364517,045
Black Sand Pearl (209)3000930012,92425,848
Blue Onyx Pearl (8P8)3600930012,32825,228
Camouflage Metallic (6M7)25007000244911,949
Envy Green (6U1)--21302130
Hot Lava (4R8)2100--2100
Polar White (068)240085001450725,407

Wow, though. 176k? Almost makes me feel like I should go back to stock and throw it in storage. |

| I wonder what happened to the rest of the badges for the RS3 and RS$ that were not produced. |

These are the numbers provided by Toyota. The tags may say "X" of 2500, but according to them there were not that many actually released to the public for whatever reason. |

Knowing that im one of 21 hundred ( or less ) just makes me smile.
Oh yeah ... GF has one too, so we have 2 of the 2100 sitting in my driveway.

Yeah. Gotta remember, though, that those numbers were the high point - there are fewer and fewer every day. The numbers dwindle and the cars become more rare.
There are DEFINITELY less than 2100 RS1's left in the world. :( |

I find the fact that the last year (06) there were over three times as many sold as each of the prior years. Seems folks knew they had a jewel that would soon be beyond their grasp!

...and they had already shut down production of the old style bB at that factory, and turned the entire production facility over to making xBs for part of the year. (The new Bb/Materia and the Camry Rumion/xB2 are made at other factory locations.)
(New cars waiting for transport are on the south end...) |

very interesting that a company would cease production with what looks like an obvious upward trend to me. '06 numbers are impressive (relative to the other years) and would be if that run was for 2 or even 3 years!
i got my '06 in sept of '05 and there were none (new or used) on any lots around here and i still very rarely see any for sale anywhere.
toyota may not have hit their target market (mostly old folks drive 'em out here) but they hit a market none-the-less.
their loss will be our gain! this may make up for that '49 ford, 49 dodge, '50 chevy pu with 5 windows, 53 chevy coupe, 55 1st series chevy with 5 windows, and cherry '65 caddy that all ended up at the junkyard 'cause they wasn't worth nuthin'!
it gives an old guy hope! |

Hey! Don't knock the '55 Chev! A '55 210 model was my the very first car I owned back in the early '60s! Except for the front suspension and the engine it was a great car. :P
Actually, out of the 29 cars I've owned, my xB Classic is in the top three of those that I'm most happy with. A very honest little box. |

The xB could have continued on for 2-3 more years no problem. Especially with the current fuel situation.
