my scion is black. It is all black actually with limo tint. and blacked out badges.
I am planning on doing white walls on my tires and put on the smoothies. I am afraid that they will not fit. Does anyone have these smoothies on their 2nd gen with a pic? |

| I also like those hubcaps. I asked Hubcap Mike about the fit and was told that they do not work on the xB steelies. The inner ring (outside the lug nuts) prevents them from seating properly. I guess the way those hubcaps curve inwards from the outer edge is to deep for these wheels. By the way, I had asked specifically about a 2008 xB. |

You mean like these.
These are from Hubcap Mike and are painted with Dupli-Color's graphite wheel coating. They were really difficult to get on but they look great and I am probably getting at least 1 more mpg since I put them on. |

| The smoothie hubcaps are different than the racing disks you show. The smoothies curve inwards from the rim edge before curving back out in the center. Google hubcapmike and look at the vintage hubcap section. I also like the racing disks as well and am planning on a set of those. Where did you get yours? |

| jthistle, any ideas on why they are so difficult to put on? Any noises coming from them? I've seen reports that sometimes these steel hubcaps make clicking or pinging noises, presumably from the mounting tabs. These reports may have been about these type of hubcaps from another manufacturer, i.e., sold by Mooneyes. By the way, I like the idea of painting them and the more subdued look on your xB. |

| I have noticed some clicking from one wheel. Now that I know about this I will have to work on a way to silence it. I suspect they were hard to put on because they are generic hubcaps. It has been mentioned earlier in this thread that another shape steel hubcap does not fit, maybe the xB steelies are shaped differently than your average ones. |

| I think I recall a tread on a different site that described forcing silicone sealant under the tabs to stop the clicking. Wish I could remember where I saw it. A search for moon discs or salt flat racing discs might turn it up. |
