What could i use to get the paint off my stock wheels? They were not sanded down before i painted them so they are starting to chip. I want to go back to stock if at all possible. LMK what should be done.
Thanks |

| Wet sand using 400 grit to remove the chipping paint, followed by 600 grit to scuff up the original silver finish. Then, paint them again. Get them to look dull, no shine at all. |

| You are in for a lot of sanding........you could have them sandblasted and powder coated but by the time you pay to do that you could just buy new rims. |

If you're looking to go to bare metal, there are chemical strippers available. Walmart has an aircraft paint stripper that will take off anything. If your tires are still mounted, I'm not sure what it would do to the rubber though so just use a little in a small area at first.
The stuff is very easy to use, just spray or wipe on, wait, and wipe or hose off. Shouldn't need to sand afterward, though multiple coats may be needed. Good luck. |

| Yeah that airplane stripper bubbles up all paint on the metal surface in about 1 minute or less. works great. |
