Whenever I push done the clutch pedal there is a noticeable squeaking sound that comes from the engine compartment. I have pinpointed the source of the sound but i'm sure what I am looking at.

Any suggestions?

Clutch fork. Pull the boot out of the way (front of trans, hard to miss), hose it down with silicone spray while somebody pumps the clutch pedal. My squeak has been gone at least 2 years now.

What brand/type of spray do you recommend?

This is what I used (because it was right next to the silicone spray at Lowes):

I used just some of that white lithium grease and no squeak.

Great cause that noise is both annoying and embarrassing when I have people in the car.

actually i ended up getting some liquid wrench heavy duty silicone spray and pulled the boot back and hosed mine down. got the g/f to press the pedal in and sprayed more. went away for about 2 days then it came back. really aggravating thing. then it started doing it when i push it in and when i let off, really got aggravating. then it will stop here and there then will only squeek when i push it in again. might try that dupont stuff and see if its any better.

Yeah, silicone spray won't last. The white lithium grease is the ticket.
