over all results its louder with no power/torque loss... city driving its nice a quiet highway driving got a lil louder

yes i do drive my car in the winter i love driving in the snow and its my only car i have can't afford to have two cars

Wow, whats the science behind that? When I looked up under my car, I thought it was a mistake to not do a cat back considering the sharp bend in the pipe after the resonator infront of the gas tank. Mines is louder, more power and so far, 36 mpg per fillup. I havent been able to give it a good economical test as I have had accidents to idle through, jack rabbit starts to go from 0-80 to merge onto the interstate after passing an accident merging between interstates.

I think this time, I will drive how I want and see if I break the 31mpg mark I got last time I did so.

i've done all my research via the internet and other car message boards that i never goto and never signed up for heh...

the combo is magnaflow 14 inch resonator/muffler 12 inch cherry bomb glasspack, dynomax super turbo muffler and magnaflow exhaust tip all done in 2 inch tubing expt for the exhaust tip which is 2.25"

i will be keeping my eye on the fuel economy and yes i do speed up to pretty much from 20mph to 70mph to get onto the highway and drop it down to highway tooling around speed 60-65mph i can't stand to drive 70 mph anymore

Interesting setup...I went with an Aero Turbine Resonator, and a Magnaflow Muffler, all with 2" custom stainless steel tubing. I was able to reuse the exhaust tip, Its Toyotas aftermarket job for the stock muffler. No need to spend big bucks like some of the herd do. Its pretty quiet until you get on it. The weapon r header made it louder though. Oh how Id love a turbo.

My uncles diesel vw golf 85 year had 2 resonators. They look like mufflers, not the sausage we have. It had a nice throatie sound. I go with the flow, if they are going 80, me too.

I did almost the same thing when i was N/A. I used 2.25" exhaust with a high-flow cat and a high-flow resonator.

Now im switching for a 2.5" exhaust with nothing but a muffler to keep the noise down... Lets see how that works out.

Hell, with my setup, Im usually cruising at 75 to 78 and it seems to be fairly efficient there. Ill drop it back into drive from overdrive to speed up, without changing the
throttle position. It actually gets quieter when it revs up like that. Ive cruised at 90 a few times. I can still get 30+ MPG going high 70's if theres room.
