Problems with Injen intake, just popped out?

My injen intake that was recently installed just popped out yesterday as I was driving, I heard my car making sputtering noises and felt it dieing if I didnt give it gas. I go check the engine and me and my friend find that the part of the pipe that actually attaches to the engine came off, so we took off the clamps, aligned the intake back in and tried to reclamp it, it was hard because it was raining and it was dark, so we only managed to put one clamp in, in a few im about to go outside to reclamp it. Any ideas how the intake popped out? And what could I do to secure it better?

Also it was raining bad yesterday, I went through a few puddles but I tried to go at them as slow I could but the rain was just terrible, I dont have a short ram system so any ideas if the intake will have problems?

It probably popped off because the v-bands werent evenly lined up around coupler. Or they just werent tight. When you clamp to the the throttle body and the intake pipe.... make sure there is an equal distance from the end of the coupler to the clamp band, all the way around. Basically dont have the clamp angled around the coupler. Make sure it makes an even circle all the way around. And obviously make sure its tight. Not crazy gorilla tight, but tight.

You should look into getting the bypass valve for a CAI. It would run inline with the intake pipe and the pipe that shoots down the fender well. Basically it senses when water is sucked up through the filter and doesnt allow air flow to flow through it. Its a well worth investment. You def dont want water up in your intake manifold.
