| Took my '05 to the dealer today for what seems to be a pretty warm A/C. On a day in the high 80's my A/C runs at about 44 to 45 degrees. I'm using a thermometer stuck in the vent with the air on recirculate. On one particularly hot and humid day, the best I could get was 48. Dealer did a leak test, evacuated the system, and recharged to full capacity. They claim all is well. My compressor doesn't seem to cycle abnormally and the site glass runs pretty clear. The temp. is still 44 to 45. Seems pretty high to me. Most of my other cars run at 41 to 39. Has anyone stuck a temp gauge in their car and got anything different? Is this normal? |

| mine is at the same temp. been there from day one and i am the original owner. I always assumed it is a small a/c with a small engine, can't expect too much from it. i got used to rolling down the windows. Hope that helps calm your worries. |

| Good info on the A/C. I guess my car is pretty normal after all. Feeling a lot better about the situation. Thanks. |

| Not sure about other year models but I have an 04 and had the same issue. There was an TSB on the 04's and took it into the dealer. Dealer replaced the whole a/c unit and didn't have an issue afterwards. I'm sure they took care of the issue with later models but you might have a check. |
