yes i have a tC but i know of only a few tC's who are running some stretched tires...
i am getting a new set of wheels that are quite aggressive therefore would need to stretch some tires on to them...
i know you xB guys love stretched tires so if some of you can post some pics. i am looking to see how certain tire sizes stretch on certain wheel sizes.
i am looking for.
205/45/17 on a 8inch wide wheel
215/45/17 on a 9 inch wide wheel
as well as
215/45/17 on a 8inch wide wheel
225/45/17 on a 9 inch wide wheel
when posting please do not post side shots. i needs shots angled from the back showing the stretch.
also make sure to post brand and model of tires as different brands/ models stretch differently. |

Falken 912 195/50/16 on 16X8 with 15 offset
those are the best shots i could find
i don't know that 215/45 would look streched on a 8" wheel |

| thanks for the reply. when you have a taller sidewall, you can fit a narrower tire on a wider wheel. so with a thinner sidewall itll look more stretched i believe |

your right, but you are also talking about a wider tire.
a 215/45 on a 8" will not look very streached, now with a 9" wheel..................... thats a different story
let me dig up another pic of a different size |

Old pic with 215/45/17 on 17x8... slight stretch.
Nowadays I would go with 205 on 8's AND 9's... if the tire was right. Best tires for stretch are Falken 512's (not 912's) and Toyo T1r's. Otherwise 215 on 9's. |

there is nothing wrong with them, its just that the 912's are wider.
i had 225/40/18 512's and they looked streched on my 18x8's
i now have 225/40/18 912's and the sidewalls are square on the exact same wheels.
i think the 512 have softer sidewalls and are a bit narrower. |

912's are fine tires, but the sidewalls are much thicker so they don't stretch as well as 512's. On 16x8 it's not a big deal, but say for 205's on a 17x9 you want pliability. |
