Every little bit helps. Powershifting on a stock clutch will only hurt the clutch. Who cares there warranty anyway. :?
any sign of abuse on the clutch and no warranty

we already denied a warranty on a kid with an xA. the flywheel was blue and the clutch was toast... he expected a warranty but all he got was a $1500 bill
so keep it up but you better hope that you don't leave any evidence of abuse

I ran at the track again last wednesday... With intake, header, exhaust, and springs (less wheel hop) I ran a 16.5, then 16.6 sustained afterwards. I left my scanner at my parents' house, so I typed it out...

R/T: .798
60': 2.394
330: 6.895
1/8: 10.623 @ 66.07
1000:13.826
1/4: 16.567 @ 81.34

R/T: .650
60': 2.330
330: 6.896
1/8: 10.661 @ 65.49
1000:13.886
1/4: 16.639 @ 81.35

R/T: .634
60': 2.382
330: 6.897
1/8: 10.649 @ 65.65
1000:13.870
1/4: 16.617 @ 81.54

I'm sure I could get lower the next time around...

unlmtdndeavor
Not saying I doubt you but 60' times like that dont really support 1/4 times like that, to get a time like that I'd think you'd have to have a higher mph???
It just looks odd is all I'm saying... your xB must have some bada$$ midrange!
I cut 2.3/2.4 60's and 86-88mph traps while posting 15.9-16.1 times...(not a scion...)

the launch on my car is horrible, the thing is once i let off the clutch i can't floor it like most people do. reason why....nitrous. gotta wait till 3k before i can go WOT. And yes, it has a ____load of midrange. thats why freeway rules!!.

unlmtdndeavor, your 60's are horrible. If you get those down to say a 2.1 an easy 15.4 is capable. Seems like you all have problems with 60's. Reaction times having nothing to do with track times. Get those 60's down to 2.1-2.2 and your cars will see good times. Also, dont be afraid to powershift (shift with light/medium gas, dont take foot off gas pedal) and mph will climb nicely.
My 2.3 60's is probably the best Im going to get. You can really launch with an automatic tranny. haha
i wonder if i would be able to get them down. i need to go to the track again. it was my first time. im also running with stock intake, header, exhaust and just a shot of nitrous. if i got the other bolt ons in, im sure i could easily lower the time at least 2 tenths.

That what I have been trying to tell the people in the tC power hungary forum!
Everyone thinks that the tC is some kind of miracle performance car sent from another planet, that was put on earth to smoke all of the competition. Oh ya, and that the 2AZ camry engine is the newest, most advanced, highest performance engine that Toyota has ever built.

Timeslips only.. 1/4 mile.

It's springtime so we'll be seeing more of these popping up here hopefully.

When I and a friend went over and talked to them one day at PIR, one of them said that they are part of the Mini challenge, there were only 5 or so of them, and they were all from North Scottsdale Mini. Who knows, they may have just been running times or something to prepare for an event elsewhere???

If people want fast cars they should buy nothing less than a v8. But you are missing the point kamikazi. Stock civics, crxs, integras, neons, focus's, eclips's, sentra spec Vs are all slow cars. The fun comes from buying an other wise slow econo car and tuning it to out perform one of those v8+ vehicles. Wich you can and has been done. That is where the love for 4 cyl tuning comes from, and the 2azfe takes well to modifications wich is why people are ranting over the performance aspect of the tC. Just my .02

Wrong... A V8 doesn't make for a fast car all the time... but it's a good start for 1/4 mile nonsense

Mods: WR intake, alphawerks header, 2.5 inch exhaust.

you cant read that well but my reaction time was .183

I ran against an SRT-4, i took him off the line and stayed ahead till half track then he started catching up.

All in all not a bad time, for first time running the car, im hoping with some weight reduction i can break 15.5 but well see.

comments welcome
