ACT:
The sporty Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S all have drivers excited about swift performance, crisp handling, rear wheel drive and a manual transmission.
Addressing the common concern of soft and vague clutch feel, ACT proudly announces solutons developed specifcally to enhance the driving experience, as well as providing extra torque capacity for future engine upgrades.
ACT’s performance clutch systems for these applicatons include a Heavy Duty pressure plate, choice of disc and flywheel*, release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool. The Heavy Duty pressure plate offers a sporter feel with substantally improved feedback as compared to the soft and numb OE pedal feel while also providing a 70% clamp load load increase over the stock unit.
The ACT Street kits combine the Heavy Duty pressure plate with a performance organic street disc. The disc features premium organic fricton materials able to withstand increased heat and abuse, steel-backed linings for high-burst strength and modifcatons engineered for quicker shifing. These clutch kits also provide smooth engagement and significantly improved durability. They also meet SFI Spec 1.1 and have an increased torque capacity of 270 ft-lb.
The ACT Race clutch kits combine the Heavy Duty pressure plate with a cerametallic Xtreme Race disc, which is available in 6 and 4-pad spring-centered and rigid-hub designs. These discs are very durable while allowing for quick shifing. The Xtreme Race discs are for high-powered engines and recommended for track use only. These kits meet SFI Spec 1.1 and will hold 345 ft-lb. of torque.
*Due to the light weight of the Prolite flywheel, gear rattle should be expected with the Prolite performance clutch systems.
Exedy:
EXEDY Racing clutches with organic friction materials use only premium friction materials that are resistant to slippage and burst. Increased clamp loads give the necessary capacity to handle modified engines. The preferred clutch for street and light horse power track.
The driveability will be like a stock clutch. Pedal efforts will be higher because of the higher clamp loads. All of our clutch discs have high capacity spring center dampers to reduce the drive train shock and impact.
SFI Certification
To ensure EXEDY customers can race witout risk of disqualification EXEDY has tested and certified many of their clutch kits and flywheels such as Stages 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Carbon Series and the Lightweight Flywheels.

Clutch Masters is pleased to introduce their performance clutch/flywheel kits for the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ.
This is a complete change over kit featuring a solid steel flywheel, heavy duty pressure plate, and multiple friction disc configurations to satisfy any performance level!
The FX series is designed to handle high torque outputs with minimal compromise to drivability. By re-engineering the leverage or fulcrum point on their pressure plates, Clutch Masters has increased clamping power while maintaining a stock pedal feel.
