Sponsored Sales Rules - REVISED 9/12/2012
Sponsorship - Advertising on ScionLife
Site Sponsorship and advertising is handled by Internet Brands, and they are the official contact for all sponsorship/advertising questions.
In planning for your sponsorship it is recommended that you establish a Member ID / Login ID for exclusive use with any posts you make as a sponsor.
This should be a separate MemberID / Login ID from your personal ID, as Internet Brands will block your access to the sponsor ID should you discontinue sponsorship.

Only site sponsors are allowed to post topics in this area, or to post commercial ads in any forum area of the ScionLife forums. For more information on becoming a site sponsor click on the 'advertising' link in the menu bar at the top right of any page on this site.
(There is also a special classification of maker/seller who meets very strict "home made" criteria called "Trader" and one other very low volume "home made" level of sponsorship that are separate from the above types of sponsorship. These special "I made this myself" no cost or low cost classifications require you to contact the Administrator via PM: PM Jon. )
Topics in this area expire after 30 days of inactivity. If no one posts a reply for 30 days it is automatically removed.
Members: Do not reply to a post unless you need more information. If you don't plan on buying or selling then please do not post a reply. If you think the price is too high or the product is to crappy then just let the post die instead of bringing it back to the top by replying.
ScionLife sponsors are required to maintain an acceptable level of customer satisfaction in order to continue their involvement with ScionLife. If we determine that a sponsor is not meeting our standards of conduct then we reserve the right to discontinue sponsorship at any time without compensation. We always work with our sponsors and members to resolve conflicts, but it is ultimately the sponsors' duty to ensure that all problems are resolved in a timely manner.
- - - - - DETAILED PRODUCT POSTING RULES FOR ALL AREAS OF SCIONLIFE - - - - -
Sponsors:
- may create new topics in the Sponsored Sales forum to post product availability, group buys, specials or promotional messages
- may create new non-product related topics in any forum (just like a normal user)
- may post replies (not new topics) to part or service requests in ANY forum on the site, as long as the post is relevant to the original post and the forum area in which it was posted
- must redirect questions about pricing of their products to the Sponsored Sales forum (a link to the related Sponsored Sales topic is fine)
- may not bump their sales threads more than every seven days
- may only bump or create 5 new threads on any given day
Anyone (including manufacturers, sponsors, and regular users):
- may create a new topic to start a discussion of a product (not to sell a product) in the relevant forum once
- may not include discussion of sales in a topic that is not in the Sponsored Sales forum -- discussion about sales must be redirected to a topic in the Sponsored Sales forum (a link to the Sponsored Sales topic is fine)
- who sells the product may state the suggested price (MSRP) in a non-Sponsored Sales topic, but nothing lower, including specials, discounts, or sales -- questions about pricing must be redirected to a topic in the Sponsored Sales forum (a link to the Sponsored Sales topic is fine)
- who does not sell the product is welcome to mention retail pricing of any retailer
- who sells the product and is not a sponsor may NOT provide a link to any website that sells the item or offer to sell the item privately via PM or email
Classified posts must be non-commercial:
- Non-commercial posts are placed by individuals and have a goal of getting rid of the object
- Commercial posts are placed by members representing a business and have a goal of making profit -- these users must become sponsors
