Default Any Recipe's for home made car wash soap wont remove wax

Does anyone have a recipe for home made car wash soap that does not remove wax.
I was considering Murphy Oil soap but after checking with the maker - it removes wax.

Thanks

I dont know why you would want to make your own wash..?

If you are really concerned, just use half the recommended amount of wash that the manufacture says to use.

Let me ask that another way. I don’t want to brew my own soap but am looking for a wash that cleans the car, does not ruin the paint and will not remove the wax.

I am currently using Mother’s car wash soap now and it works great. If I could find a cheaper solution (pun intended) I could cut Mother out of my discretionary spending! I am washing 2 xb’s twice a week. And waxing them once a week to get a good wax base for winter. After the 4th coat the xb started to shine like crazy. Water jumps off the box.

why dont you stick with what works for you? i don't know how much the mothers stuff costs, but i buy meguiars nxt for 6.XX at walmart. meguiars car wash soap i think is only 3.XX for a bigger bottle and it won't remove wax.

NXT is a very aggressive wash that WILL remove your wax faster than other brands.

I read the title to this thread and was honestly scared to click on it and read further. I heard the whole "Psycho Norman Bates" theme playing in my head
I use Meguiars and am quite happy with it..

for an OTC soap, gold class is really gentle. If you want to try a boutique brand, top of the line's bubble bath and poorboy's world super slick & suds are really gentle soaps.
