Okay, so I can't read the whole thing without my eyes going crossed. And I don't speak leagalese either. My question is: If I put the DC sports header on the xB will I still be able to get warranty repairs on the engine and/or drivetrain?

Is there some way a header could "break" other parts of the car?

I had also wondered about this. It seems like a potentially very grey area.

Good, now I don't just have to put TRD parts on my tC!!! Not that there's anything wrong with them but they are so expensive!!!!

Thank you for the very informative post!!!!!

My dealer told me if I put aftermarket parts on my xB..lets say header, then the only thing that is no longer covered is the manifold that I took off and replaced with the header, and of course the header itself.
Every other part of the engine/exhaust is still fine. Now if you pull a manifold stud out while trying to install the header and you botch the helicoil and really screw up the block...well that one is on you.

well, this seems to be the thread that everybody links to i terms of warrenty issues... but still nobody has answered one of the main questions on here... exhausts and intakes are no-brainers in terms of "voiding" the warrenty... is there a scenario that they can say a HEADER is the cause of a problem...

... and do not just say switch back to the manifold, cuz that can be complicated when you have a supercharger on top of the header

According to the dealership I bought my xB from, the only part of your car that loses its warranty is what you remove. So if you have a header, than the manifold isn't covered.
I'd just give a random dealership a call, ask for the Scion Sales Manager, and check what they think.

The S/C leaking had been blamed on the header...I don't see how, but it has.
