I have those Microtex ones and I used them the last time I washed my car (two weeks ago). Gave them a wash before I used them. Put them in the washer (no detergent) and dryer (no dryer sheets) so I could get out any lint. Applied detail spray with them and there weren't any scratches at all on my car. I pulled the tags off of them to make sure they wouldn't scratch anything.

True test is going to be when I clay/polish/wax in the next couple of days. I'll let you guys know how those Microtex ones do through the magnetic-full-day-car-detailing-bonanza. haha

For that price, it better come with an umbrella girl to keep me cool while I'm drying!

Target has a few different ones. I use the Orange premium ones on my paint, (or a meguiars MF) and the white/grey ones for windows, interior, wheels, lights etc.
Very good, and very good prices.

^ I always use Mr.Clean and had no problems, it depends on your water though.

I just picked up a 24 pack of 16x 16 microfiber towels from costco for $9.xx!

I got this box in the mail the other day... apparently the brand Windex now has microfiber (towels?). You can reuse them and then just throw'em away after ur done. I figured this might be better since my microfiber cloth is in the basement collecting dust and debris. I'll give the review for that soon on wed when i wash my car. Unless someone else already tried?

I tested the Microtex Micro fiber polishing mit from Walmart on a CD and did not scratch at all with hrad rubbing or with the stiching.

Also tested Microtex micro fiber detailing towels from walmart with the same result of no scratches.

I picked up a package of the microfiber towels at Sam's Club yesterday and finished detailing my xB a short while ago this morning.

WOW. So this is what microfiber towels are supposed to be like!!!

I was using more expensive microfiber towels from PepBoys and I never understood what the big deal was about microfiber ... they just seemed like regular towels to me.

These cheap Sam's Club microfiber towels are GREAT. Easy drying, easy application of polish/glaze, easy application of wax, and VERY easy buffing.

I hope Sam's keeps selling these for a long time because these are the ONLY microfiber towels I plan to buy from now on!

Honestly, what I use is....don't laugh.......cloth diapers! You can pick em up at any Babies R Us, and they are absorbant, and don't leave lint or scratches!! Use them to dry your car, or wax it. But if you use it to dry...just wash them first, they become more absorbent after you wash them!
