Page is still busted, even for Premium Membership. Will Haynes or Chilton's ever be bringing out a manual for the box? I know it takes them a few years from production start to tear down and document everything, but we're going on 4 years now. IF SL ever brings back their manual maybe I can finish downloading it, right now I only have sections. Also, the parts fiche was awesome, why did they remove it, we still have to got to the dealer to order the parts and it saves their tech's from having to chase through the parts guide.

Hi. I'm a long time Toyota owners (variety of models) and my father just purchased a 2006 Scion xB. Great vehicle - roomy, utilitarian, neat styling - great vehicle.

I too am searching for a service manual in PDF format if anyone can point me in the right direction. I don't have much luck finding one available for download when I search (here and in genera).

Thanks in advance!

No.. it shares the majority of the same stuff.. you just got radio controls on the steering wheel and the wiring associated with that.

I don't have files available to download, but can get access on a case basis.

Shoot me a PM for requests

Mechanically the '04-06 are nearly identical to the '06.5 other than a change in airbags and some wiring.

The wiring manual (from Scion) is available in the 1st Gen ICE and Interior forum...

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=21

Been there since 09-09-06...

Similar in the xA and tC forums...

That's the wiring. What about the general service?

Okay, sorry in advance, as I am getting up to speed. Just bought a used RS 4.0 2007 xB Torched Penny Toaster for my son. Is this was people are referring to as 2006.5? It seems like 2007 is missing on some sites.

Love the car, but a few pieces are missing. So my real question is where is the best place to get an illustrated parts breakdown or some website to look up the scion part numbers. For example, the cover over the spare and cargo area is missing.
I see cargo liners, but these seem to be what can go over what "is" missing, as it has to be some kind of hard / rigid surface. I will eventually just go to a dealer or hunt down a book at pep boys, but I figured maybe someone here can help get me rolling.

Clay, the closest and quickest look-up of part numbers in in the Scion Tech area of ScionLife.com (up at the top of the pages, in the "Features" menu).

The part numbers for most of the common parts are the same for 2004 through 2006.5 models (yes, yours is considered a 2006.5).

Here's the digital microfiche you will find there for the 2004 model... https://www.scionlife.com/tech/parts/?group=xb04

Without the premium membership there is limited look-up (I think it's something like five pages), but premium membership should give unlimited searching of the parts fiche.

Some dealerships parts departments will also help out if they are not busy with other stuff (and some won't)...

*Note: Premium Membership and Scion Life Parts microfiche are No Longer Available.

Because there was none. As I remember...

The 2006 was introduced in Fall of 2005. In December of 2005, radio controls appeared on the steering wheel and an iPod jack on the console, and the car was referred to as a 2006.5. I bought mine in February 2006.

When the 2006.5 stopped being made in Summer of 2006, no 2007 was introduced. The stocks of the xB dwindled, there was a scramble to buy what was left, and soon they were all gone. For over half a year, you could not buy a new xB.

In Spring of 2007, a redesigned xB was introduced as a 2008.

Default How to print shop manual pages larger that an ants eyeball

Hey,
I also had the small printed page until I right clicked on the image and had the image open as another tab (not another window). I am using safari - the latest version. I get a full size print from the other tab by using ctrl-P. don't print all print page 1. Otherwise you get a useless second page with only a few non related words.
I know it's 2011 and you all were in 2007 but what the heck.

Thanks Tomas.
I have your 2004 manual already downloaded.
I was hoping to get a 2006.
I am interested in finding out if my 2006 Scion xB with a Panasonic T1807 can be retrofitted to have the iPod connection in the center console.
Thanks again.
