Wow, I am not sure how I missed your message all this time. YES, I am still have my xB loving it as much as ever. I paid $9,900. They wanted $10,800, but I was able to talk them down.

I have since sold it, but I did get it looked at. The mechanic that I go to said that it is actually a common noise with the Scion's. He has installed new AC compressor's that make the same noise. He said I could try replacing it, but it did not guarantee the noise would not come back. I have 115K on it when I sold it and it made that noise for more than half of that time.
