    from what you described..when you fist tried out your brakes and you felt the pads shutter..my guess is thats when the wd40 maye have burned off

    anyway..just in case if you have not done so already..you might want to take off your disc pads..and look at the surface of them...maybe scuff them up with some sand paper sprak with some brake cleaner and them re inasall them

    anyway...thats what I would do
