How about Tarantino's first film, Killing Zoe? Done even before Resevoir Dogs.

I remember watching that movie, and it was so bizzare! Classic though.

If you guys want to see a horror movie, that isn;t scary at all, but will make you laugh (probably), Night of the Lepus.....

for any of the younger peeps on this thread who may not have seen it:
"Hollywood Knights".
truly a classic raunchy cruise night/comedy movie--Newbomb Turk is one great character. Good bits, cool cars, and some stars early into their careers.
From the same time period that gave us Porky's...

I know they already did another movie together called A very Long Engagement. It's another love story set in Paris, but this time back during the Great War. Pretty good, but kinda long and confusing.

I've seen this several times. I wouldn't call it confusing. You have to be willing to follow the story, but all the pieces are there and it does make sense. I saw it in a theatre when it was first released in the US. I speak french, though, so it was especially easy for me to follow.

This was a really good movie. I didn't like Amelie but I definitely recommend it. It's a story about a country boy who is drafted to the front of WWI and is sentenced to death for self-mutilation. Everyone believes he is dead but his fiance, who sets out on a journey to find him through the lives of the four other men condemned with him.

A very good film if you like period pieces around the first world war. That part of this film was excellently done.

Escape from Colditz - WWII escape movie from which most of the others were based.

Rustler's Rhapsody - Little known Tom Beringer sendup of B-Westerns A bit like Blazing Saddles, but with much more subtle humor.

Metropolis - A 1927 (!) silent by Fritz Lang. A spectacular work considering the limitations of the era.

Little Miss Sunshine - recent road movie with a very unexpected (and fun!) ending.

Wow, I've seen a good chunk of these movies. Go me! My roommate always gets korean movies. A lot of them are really frickin' good. If you can find it get Attack the Gas Station. It's bloody fantastic. Some of the plot and jokes you have to know a little bit about korean social norms, but you can usually figure it out pretty quick on your own.

Old Boy was based off of a manga from japan, liked the movie hated the plot.

Metropolis was released as a cartoon by some famous anime guy I think it was about 5 or 6 years ago with the same title.

Equilibrium is my most favorite move ever. If you liked it check out UltraViolet, by the same writer director and a very close feel. It's got milla jojovovich (sp?) in it too .

SPL is a movie recently released in Hong Kong with Donny Yen (Blade 2 and Hero, he's the spear guy in hero) and Sammo Hung (Jackie Chan's very old friend and comrade Used to be on that TV show Marshall Law), kinda like a Tarintino movie. . . wouldn't be suprised if he were to bring it over here for the American audiences.

New Police story (I think is the name) is Jackie Chan's latest in HK, I don't think you'll ever see it stateside, but finding it shouldn't be too hard.

Army Of Darkness, I'm not into horror flicks but Bruce Campbell is one of my favorite actors.

Bubba Ho-Tep, another Bruce Campbell film, I think Don Ciccerro (sp?) worte the short story or directed it I forget. Anyway, it's about Elvis in an old peoples home being chased around by a Zombie that sucks old peoples life force from their bum hole. . . Little campy but fun!
