Default Ford Mustang LX 5.0 Convertible (Trade for XB1)

Forsale:
1985 Mustang LX 5.0 Convertible
Mileage: 47,000 Documented Miles
Transmission: 5-Speed World Edition T5 Manual
Located: Columbus Ohio

For pictures go to my garage here

History:
The car was purchased from the original owners brother, after the original owner passed away, the car has/had some bumps and bruises, due to the original elderly man driving it into the garage wall.. The Nose was cracked, and split in area's which has all been repaired, It currently sits in primer, the trim is also primed, but the car comes with the correct trim paint to fix that.

Car is a project car, it runs really good, and is 99% completely gone through mechanically. The car still needs exhaust work and an Oil Pan Gasket installed.
I have the original Intake manifold as well as variety of other original parts, however;
GT40P heads, Summit hardened Valve Springs, and machined locally.
EdelBrock Air-Gap-289 Intake manifold
Holley 650CFM Double Pumper with vacuum secondaries
Felt-Pro Gaskets - Valve covers, intake, and head, (Have the Oil Pan gasket to go with the car)
New Clutch, flywheel, throw-out bearing, shifter fork, and rear main seal.
New Timing chain, Water pump, timing chain guides, and cover
New Tires that come with the car, currently not mounted.
New Plugs, Wires, Rotor, Dizzy cap, and the Ignition Control module
Newer Battery (2 years old)

All new parts are NEW, less than 25miles on them..
Previous owner indicated he replaced the Rear, and the Gas tank..
I can't confirm the Rear, but the Gas tank looks new..
It does Have Posi.

Body is about 85% perfect, it will need paint on the nose, and the rear bumper cover needs to be replaced, as well as the trunk needs to be painted, the rest of the car shines like new. There is NO rust at all that i have been able to find, even the strut towers which are known to rot out are 100%.

What needs to be finished..
Needs:
Top - 250.00 on ebay
2 3in rips in the driver and passenger seat seams.. Was quoted 100.00
Brakes and suspension needs to be gone through..
Rotors are 25.00 each (50.00)
Pads looks good, but they are original and should be changed (30.00)
Rear shoes are 18.00 a corner (36.00)
rear drums are 45.00 a corner (90.00)
Quad shocks in rear are 35.00 each (140.00)
Ball joints up front are 9.00 each you will need 4 (36.00)
Struts up front are 48.00 each (96.00) They are not loaded, and you can safely remove them like shocks, so no need for any shop time..
Wheel bearings aren't compressed, they are 6.00 a corner (12.00)
The hubs are part of the rotor, one piece..
Oil Pan gasket (Included)
Tires (Included)
Alignment
Exhaust - Craigslist has them at salvage yards for 200.00 with headers..
Painted areas: 250.00
Rear bumper cover 150.00

Total needed:
1344.00

Car is insured for 5600.00 through Hagerty
Fully restored it is worth 9 - 18K depending on how crazy you want to get.. With just the listed repairs it should be worth 8-9K all day long..

Car made 305WHP and 410FtLb on rolling dyno

I would like 4500.00 Cash
Or will trade straight up for an Scion XB1 with a manual transmission.
Scion must be clean title, No rust.. dings and dents are fine, but body wise it must be nearly mint.. I don't care if it runs.. as long as it isn't seized up.. Would prefer stock over modified.

Car is a low numbers, high optioned convertible, with no rust and low mileage.
This is a ASC McLaren Conversion Convertible.

Reach out to me if you are interested..
Car is located in Columbus Ohio.
