What goes in the center console behind cup holders??
 

I don't intend for this to be a dumb question but... I have a 2011 xb and I can't figure out what the rectangle with the oval slot is for behind the cup holders- not the actual console under the armrest of course- right in front of that.... it seems like a specific design for something but I can't figure out what... I did take out that cup holder accessory thingee but am I missing something else?

I've a 2008 and my understanding is the molding behind the cup holder is intended for an iPod.

Coins. Lots of Coins. (from The Matrix: Special Loose Change Edition). It's for an iPod to sort of sit in there, but there's always the matter of the cord: no one makes a cord only 8" long (so you won't have to coil the thing up). Actually, it fits a medium fries box pretty well, although it's missing a little cup for the ketchup.

It's a place to keep your device you plugged into the accessory jacks behind. I guess that was the intended purpose but really, it's a hole, put anything you want in it. XD
