Pioneer FH-X700BT wiring
 

Hi,

I bought a pioneer fh-x700bt for my scion xa (05) I have the kit, and harness to install it. I was reading the instructions on how to install it but I have no idea about wiring. I have the harness and the connector.there are many cables, and I'm confused. Help please!!!

The cables for the stereo connector should be color coded to the ones on the harness, if not then take a look on the harness cables and stereo cables themselves, they should tell you which cable is what (i.e. left speaker Front positive or LSF+ and so on) and you match them up, LSF+ on the harness would go to LSF+ on the stereo connector cable. Didn't the harness and Stereo come with any instructs? or is this a second hand unit?

I saw your reply to a previous questions and thought you might be a good person to ask about installation instructions.

I bought the Pioneer FH-X700BT for my '05 Scion tC and plan on installing it but don't want to attempt it without proper instruction. I've searched online but haven't found anything so if you know of a good source or can provide instructions with video/photos/step-by-step I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Quick question, what is the approx. installation time, to install a DVD receiver -double din , into a Scion xA ? Curious, I may do it myself, but I may take it into get done... unsure. I have some general install skills, but don't install stereos but once every 4-5 years... maybe.

I wouldn't know when it comes to a tC ( I have an xA ). Youtube has a slew of videso though. You can also try Crutchfield.

Install for an xA for me was 20 minutes tops. The harness wiring and DIN kit assembly (depends on what you get) will be the hardest parts. It's very easy to take out the radio.

Caprice0083, thanks again for the easy install info/video DIY !!! I think I will do it for sure. Next question, if my unit has blue-tooth capabilities, is that very difficult to set up ? I was told to mount the blue-tooth small unit back behind the steering wheel.
