FRS Stock Rims on tC1

Hi everyone. I was hoping I could get some input from you guys about putting FRS rims on my tC1. Someone locally is selling them to me for a good deal and I was wondering if you guys think it would look nice.
I'm also wondering if they'll fit ok? Do I have to buy new lugs? What size? Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

Why/???...They are kinda Fugly.

Save your $$$ and buy something Better!!

I'm fine with my painted stock rims, but my brother took my car out for a joy ride and supposedly dodged a cat and f'd up one of my rims real bad. I don't want to spend a lot of money and I'm thinking $380 for a set of brand new oem wheels is a steal. Do you really think they look that bad?

Big_Jim 08-30-2012 01:09 PM

They're hideous. They look like konig unkonwns. if you're ok with spending that much, save yourself some loot and buy 1 used stock wheel for your set and repaint it.

And don't let your bro drive your sh...

Also............they are right, those rims are hideous.

how good is this deal? I agree that FRS wheels are hideous, but I'd rock them if they were SUPER cheap and included almost-new tires.

I read that FRS wheels are 17x7, et48, 56.1 centerbore. tC1 is 17x7, et45, 54.1 centerbore. The FRS wheels will fit, but sit further in by 3mm (hardly noticeable, but still undesirable). tC1 and FRS both use 215/45/17 tire size.

Thanks for the specs. The rims are going for $380 with no tires.

Thanks everyone for your input. It seems the majority is against the FRS rims. I think I might just look into some aftermarkets then. Thanks again everyone.

the wheels will not clear the front calipers without a small spacer

Just wondering, how sure are you that they won't fit the front without a spacer?

GOOGLE is your friend. subject has been tired out BEFORE car even came out.....

draxcaliber 09-08-2012 02:57 PM

for much cheaper, you can get the wheel refinished. Also, like everybody said, don't let ANYBODY drive your car. when an animal comes into the road, unless it is a moose, just hit the damn animal. and also, make your brother pay to have your wheel refinished. tell him he needs to take responsibility for his actions.

my fiance has a tc, its on some cheap brand coils and the wheels just barely were against the brakes
