30,000 mile tune-up question
I'm about to go up to Toyota and do my 30,000 mile tune-up (per the packet I recieved when I purchased the car). How much did you guys pay for this tune-up?
well. i know wit us its like 350, but it maybe different where u live and all...
mm yeah tune ups can get quite pricey, but you gotta pay to play....and last forever.
$350 huh? Doesn't sound too bad really.
What is the 30,000 miles tune up entail?
USUALLY would entail:
LOF/rotate tires replace air filter replace cabin air filter clean/adjust rear brakes drain/fill tranny fluid, drop pan and clean filter drain/fill coolant replace PCV service throttle body clean battery road test vehicle perform electrical test inspect steering components, all fluids, brake linings, suspension lubricate chassis/hinges (some dealers repalce plugs) yes i said plugs @ 30k think i got it all |
you can get a local shop to do the 30k tune up and pay a fraction of 350
if you go to a trusted mechanic they will do 30,000 mile work for around $150.
You can do it yourself and save even more, just save your recipts.
only reason cost is greater if you get a dealer to perform services, is labor cost.
if u live in nj i would do ur tune up 4 u 4 like $200 and ull get a toyota sticker 2!!
