Handbrake Loose - How to adjust?
My handbrake is loose, like many of us experience. It engages, just much too high.
There are 2 ways to adjust it, one at the actual handbrake, but I have been informed that its not good to adjust from there because it puts a lot of tension on the cable. The other way is to tighten it from the rear wheels. Can somebody please explain to me in a somewhat detailed way how to adjust the parking brake from the rear wheels? Thanks ~Jay |
you should do a search, otacon did a whole right up on how to do this somewhere. i'm actually taking mine to the dealership on friday, they said it would only be $40 bucks, i can tolerate that.

If you can find it for me, that would be great. I didn't post in that thread and I can't seem to find it. I only came across the thread to adjust at the handbrake and not at the wheels.
If you can find it, please post a link. Otherwise, if someone can explain that'd be great! |

Thanks. I think that should be good enough. I still have the problem that I don't know where the adjustment is on the rear drum, but i'm sure I can figure it out.
If anybody can guide me in the right direction to adjusting the parking brake from the rear drum, i'd appreciate it. Pictures are always best :D |

the tc has all around disc brakes, but the rear also has a drum for the parking brake inside the disc.
