Front Grill
On the front grill there is a chrome piece that goes around the grill, is there anyway to remove it? If so how, and is it hard? What holds it in place? Any help would be great.

The front grill has to be removed first. It is held in by clips and comes out without tools. After the grille is out, there are 6 screws and 3 clips that hold the trim ring in place. If you put the grille back on without the trim ring, it will look like this:

The whole grill is clipped into the front bumper. The chrome trim is held in by about 6 phillips screws. I would just reccomend popping out the grill and taking the chrome trim off.

wait...whats going on?

VERY NICE clean front end man. Have to give ya credit for it. OEM ground effects? Wish i could get a pair of those 1.0 grilles, but i heard they are expensive and only from toyota right now. |
That looks nice man. In person can you notice that somethings missing? Like does it look that way? What about painting the trim black? Iam gonna see if i do it today. I dont really like chrome or shiney stuff.
When the grill is removed it comes out from the inside or do you pull out? Thanks again |
Anybody got a picture of the bracing behind the grill? Fabricating a "floating" Scion emblem might be kind of cool if there's sufficient support behind there for it.
|
On second thought, scratch that. I can't think of any grill materials that would look good, yet still be subtle enough to NOT draw attention from the emblem.

With the trim ring out, there is a small gap but it isnt noticeable unless you really look at it.
Ive actually gone on and painted the trim ring black so now it looks like this: http://www.socalpcguy.com/images/zaino2.JPG |

Stupid install for their tC grill that should be as easy as a replacement. They like to do things the hard way it seems. |
With that grill craft, do you leave in the old grill? Like does it go over it? And does anyone have a picture of it in black?

I love the grill on the tC

What kind of turn signal bulbs are those?
