where do you put your blind spot mirrors?
 

Hey wassup! I just got my scion tc, and i was wonderin' where do you guys put your blind spot mirrors on your tC. I notice that this car has big blind spot on the driver side. Thanx! :eyebrow:

I check my blind spot everytime i change lane. I dont need one.

just turn your head before you change lanes. those blind spot mirrors don't look good.

If you do your mirrors right there is no blind spot.

Of course there is a blind spot, you just have to look! Never change lane without looking. I even look at my rear view mirror when I am stopping, just in case some moron isnt paying attention.

just my 2 cents... all of the cars my parents have had since i started driving 7 years ago have had these mini mirrors on the outside end of the side mirrors and when you set it right you can see *everything*...no need to turn you're head at all at least in my experience...

The last time I had a vehicle with blind spot mirrors, the mirrors were located on the inside-bottom corner of each mirror. You will probably need to experiment and try some different positions in order to find the best position for you and your tC.

You can do an experiment by sitting in the car with your "blind-spot-free" mirror position, and get a friend to try to disappear from your sight, and they will be able to, because EVERY vehicle has a blind spot.

They make it obviously way too easy in this country to get a permit and a license.

I put mine on the outer bottom edge of the mirrors on every one of my cars...better safe than sorry. I find them useful for backing along curbs too

To adjust your mirrors to cover *most* of your blind spot do the following:

Driver Side: sit upright in the driver's seat and lean your head against the driver side window. Adjust your mirror outward so you cannot see the body of your car save for about your door handle.

Passenger Side: Lean the same amount the other direction and repeat.

Most people who get in my car and drive it adjust the mirrors back like most people use them and I am baffled... Why do you need three rear-view mirrors? With this setup for my mirrors, a car hasn't left my rear-view before entering my side-view. It's quite handy.

The only concern now of course is for motorcycles; please check your blind spot when changing lanes so as not to kill someone who has much less protection from pavement than you do.

That's a person, not a car. And of course always look before you change lanes. When a car passes me on the highway I can see it in one of my mirrors at all times.

I set my mirror to minimize my blind spots, I'm pretty confident that i dont have any blind spots. Of course, some would/must argue that there are, me and my dad dont think so!
