2012 Scion xB Factor Rear Speakers not working
I just purchased last month the first Scion xB off the lot here in NL. It is equipped the Bongiovi Acoustics DSP and Pioneer Premium Audio Head. Love the XB however the problem is the rear speakers do not work (no sound whatsoever). I have asked my local dealership and Scion Canada about this a both have stated this normal behavior and as many Scion owners mod their sound systems it would be replaced anyway. Does anyone else have a 2012 xB with this "feature"? Does not make any sense why Scion would sell a $1000 worth of Audio upgrades yet the only way to get the rear speakers to work is to replace them and the whole audio system.

Can't you just pop the door panel and run new wiring? Mine work just fine... I would think if the speakers are there you can get them to work with a bit of creativity

May have the same problem like what happened to the xB1 cars...same thing happened when i changed out the oem head unit at Best Buy back in '06...no sound any further from the back speakers...read the Scionlife forum back then, and many others said the same thing...need to get some kind of line output converter (something like that) in order to get sound to the rear...my rears are so much attenuated in sound...it's like the sound is at the '1' setting if 15 is loudest...

Same problem in 08' xB
I had the dealer switch out the Head unit with no change. I upgraded all speakers to BA and front sounds amazing but rear still little to no crappy sound.
Would a Amp fix the issue?
