I was driving out to golden and a rock kicked up and shattered the window. I already have a replacement I just need to get it put in. Crystal glass will charge $90, still shopping around....

I was emailing one of the guys from Charlesglen Toyota about a job and asked him if he heard anything about Scion coming to Calgary.
His response
"The launch will initially be in Toronto and Vancouver with further launches in Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton etc. We look forward to this opportunity; however, it's probably 2 to 3 years away."

I'd heard that Montreal was going to be one of the 1st cities to get a dealership, but that may have changed.

i really should drive around more on saturdays.
3 Gen 1 XB's sighted, all stock, one grey, one maroon. Don't think I'd seen them before. The 3rd was a white one that's always parked on 14st SW near 26ave.
Outstanding feature? All female drivers! Finally!

Default Maroon Scion at Superstore

That was my maroon Scion at the Superstore. Thanks for leaving the message on my windshield. Very glad to have an XB community. I've been waiting for a day to go riding with fellow XB-ers...or just a meet and greet at the coffee shop. Also looking for tips on how to pimp my ride , at least I could use some nice rims.

You're quite welcome. You'll find more than enough info on Scion life on how to mod your XB. Tons of great ideas here and some of the more senior members give great how-to tips on customization. Even step-by-step pictures!

Hopefully we'll get summer meet plans for a Bar B Q going soon now that things are getting warmer...sorta.

Thanks for Joining up!

Default Gen 2 XBs

Any thoughts on the Generation 2? I'd have to say I'm a little disappointed with them. They've gone and rounded the corners and lowered it a bit so the windows are smaller. Not really big on that. It still looks pretty cool, but it loses it's uniqueness with all those curves. The box was what oriiginally caught my eye. I like what they've done with the inside, but the exterior has lost its curb appeal for me. But that's just me, I'm an old-school Jetta fan, so it makes sense.

holler back.

i don't really care for the stock GEN2. Sure it's got more room and more power but losing the high mileage on the fuel side really turned me off to it.

The Gen2 RS looked decent enough though

and when modded, they're more acceptible

Still, if I'm to buy another Scion, it'll be the Fuse, assuming they get it right.

damn, my timing is getting better.
2:30 am this morning, I pull into the parking lot beside Singapore Sams and there's the grey XB pulling out. Didn't get to see who was driving.
10 seconds later, I've parked and what pulls up but a black XB, lowered with rims. Kid pulls up, talking with a heavy accent, possibly brazilian. He had a dealer plate on the back so I'm not sure if he was local. He took off just after we talked for a sec. I didn't get a chance to tag him though.

We could have a helluva meet on our hands if I got everyone to sign up here

just sittin at the airport in Vegas at the moment, reflecting on all the Scions I've seen this weekend.
Tons of XB's, both Gen 1 and 2. Only 2 of them were modded and nothing spectacular, which I found odd.

Lost of TC's as well, but again, few mods. One had a nice spoiler.

Saw a few Xa's and Xd's. None modded. I don't really care for this model. Not a looker really.

Still, great to see so many around.

Was that you parked outside the Community Foods on 10th Ave last night?

ok people, the nice weather is upon us, so lets get the chatter about a Meet N Greet going.

I'm thinkin on a Sunday afternoon or night. This weekend's gonna be lame weather wise, so anything beyond that.

So lets start the talk!

Oh, and if you know any other Scion people in town, get 'em to sign up here already!!!

Holy shiat. Here's another good lesson as to why you shouldn't buy parts from the dealer.
A couple weeks ago I was on Glenmore turnin onto Deerfoot when something flew up from the car in front of me and hit my front bumper. In my side mirror, i saw something white flop away, so I knew I took damage.
i get out and see that one of the plastic fog lamp inserts was gone. I went back and found it on the road but it was done for.
SO i looked around and couldn't find anywhere else to get that part except for the dealer in Kallispel, MO. I ordered it and it cost 45$ US, plus another 45 in shipping, which was bullsh it.
After it was on it's way, i found another site that sells Scion parts for a much better price.
http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...?siteid=214915

Don't go to the dealer if you don't have to, you'll get bent over huge.

Tagged 'em!

Also, I was drivin west on 17th the other night and got behind a dark blue Gen2 and noticed somethin strange. Couldn't see the drivers head, just the tops of 2 seats. I couldn't get up beside 'em so I can't say if it was a he or a she. Had to turn before I could pull up close. Either way, that's about 4 Gen2's I've seen in town so far.
And I still like them better than the Soul and Cube.

I put the idea out there a couple weeks ago but no replies. I may have to send out ideas via PM, that way people get a notice in their email, as they probably don't check back in here as often as I do.

How long have you had your XB?
