herro...

i don't know if i'm just going nuts, but i've been seeing A LOT of xb's around town. the silver one that i saw at oakridge, parks regularly in the guest spots at my building downtown, i saw a maroon one parked at seymour + drake, as well as a white one driving down seymour this afternoon. 3 xb sightings in one day! should i be taking pictures??

i'm off to france for the entire month of may...would anyone be up for a mini-meet before april 30?

take care,
m.

Put your thinking cap on, you are the one who started this.......J/K
Good weather is coming, Keep posting when you might want to get together for a little cruise

Me and the wife went for a drive through Stanley Park on the weekend, first time since the November storms, it makes you almost want to cry the damage that they did.
Parts of the park just don't look the same.

i'm in.

i leave on the 30th of april, so even the last weekend of the month works for me. i work nights (restaurant industry) so my days are completely free. any time is good for me! i'm not partial to any spot since i don't know many good viewpoints in town. we can always pick a restaurant after we've picked out the area we're planning on driving to/meeting at. just let me know when or where.

can anyone make a decision for the rest of us on this thread?

take care,
monique

So the Date will be either 28th or 29th. Let's head up to Cypress View Point. Good view of Vancouver and Plenty or Parking or a short Drive around UBC and have a meet and chat at the spanish banks parking lot and have a great view of Downtown Vancouver.

So one of those is good. As for food afterwards, what do you guys and gals like? Asian? Western?

Let put in a vote....

April 28 or 29th
Cypress or UBC
Western or Asian

way to be decisive sature!

my vote:
1. doesn't matter, i'm flexible.
2. UBC/Spanish Banks
3. this one's a doozy...see below.

----------------------------------------

if i had an opinion on anything, i'd be food. mmmm......

so, here are my food suggestions (in no particular order, albeit with a focus on the westside):

1. burgoo on W. 10th:
current/seasonal menu, sat/sun brunch menu
western/comfort food, parking should be ok, no reservations accepted (though we can get there right at 11 when they open)

2. Joey's at Broadway + Granville:
menu
western food, parking will be a nightmare, though they do offer valet, no reservations accepted but i don't think it would be a problem...there's a patio too!

3. Hamilton Street Grill in Yaletown:
lunch menu
western food, parking will be terrible (yaletown), reservations & big parties are not a problem for them.

4. Ginger & Chili on W. 10th:
pretty decent chinese food, cheap, big parties ok, parking should be ok.

5. Milestone's on W. 4th:
lunch menu
western food, plenty of parking, reservations & big parties should not be a problem + heated/covered patio.

6. Shabusen on Granville + 14th:
all you can eat sushi & korean bbq for $13 per person on the weekends, parking will be atrocious, but rezzos and big parties are accepted.

mind you, these are only some suggestions. some of my favourites unfortunately cannot accommodate large parties (long's noodle house, taro sushi, abigail's party) or are not open for lunch (fiction tapas/wine bar, henry's kitchen).

that's it from me. grats on getting through all of it.

----------------------------------------

(my vote may just be on sushi at shabusen, but only for the sake of convenience when the bill comes...)

I'd love to bring my box up there and get with you folks (and I really enjoy Vancouver), but this time it looks like too much of a push - I'm in Portland, Oregon the end of the month.

Catch you folks next time?

Too bad you didn't ask for some stock steelies two weeks earlier, Jon - I just gave away a set, with stock tires...

With luck, someone else will have a set just sitting around.
