Hi all! Chiming in from white marsh area. I've got an 07 tc, hatchback w/spoiler. Bought it with 48K miles on it. Upwards of 70K now. Don't know much about cars (recently divorced and this was my parting gift!) Looking to put snow tires on for this god awful weather we're suppose to have. It currently has TOYOs, 215/45R17 91v's on it. Any reasonably priced recommendations?

Hey man,

Snow tires are illegal in this part of Maryland. If cops catch you driving with them it's an annoying time. I run a pair of Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires which do really well 80% of the time. (The other 20% I should not be driving my car anyway). Price wise I find it's best to order them online and then find a shop to install them.

Xarzi, Found out this past weekend that snow tires are not illegal in MD only the studded ones---apparently it tears up the road. Mr. Tire gave me a pretty good deal for four Hancock Winter I*Pike tires ($140 ea).


No snow yet, so I'll update you all on how they do.

Hi everyone, just reporting that I made it through the 2014/15 winter with my new i*pike tires I bought from Mr. Tire here in Maryland. Tires have done extremely well and let me tell you, it felt great to drive in the slush and snow and not skid or hydroplane! Highly recommend them. It's now beginning of April and I'm about to take those off and put my all weather ones back on. Hope ya'll had a great winter too!

Space is limited, they have set 60 car maximum, so don't wait to register.

IMPORTANT NOTE
We are NOT using NASA car classing for this event. When you register please simply list one of these three abbreviations in the "transponder number" or "sponsor" or "additional comments" box:

"FI" for Forced Induction 86/BRZ Class
"NA" for Naturally Aspirated 86/BRZ Class
"O" for Other Car Class (non 86/BRZ)

[Your registration is NOT complete until one of these three 86EXPO autocross class choices is in there somewhere.]

So please, please, PLEASE put the Class in the one of three boxes.
