Very interested in this. I don't own a tc myself but I would like to see progress.

this could be done, but the 2jz is going to limit you a lot if you have
to pass smog inspection because of obd2.. also the motor size and
transmission combo may mean firewall and tunnel work.. or else
the engine may sit too forward and cause handing issues.

more power to you if you choose to do this.. luckily most wheel
speed sensors on these toyotas can be cross spliced to run the
speedo and other items just fine. and you probably wont ever
need the speedometer sensor on the actual transmission.

i chose to convert to awd and keep the 2az-fe (built) so that way i can
pass emissions. because my house is zoned in such an area..and the
weather is never guaranteed here in portland.

but correctly set up the 2az will still pass smog (not necessarily a visual
check though) even in a rwd configuration.

the only other option is to crack, or find someone to crack the ecu to
display the readiness monitors for the obd2 system so it doesn't register
an issue.. and also modify the vin info so it still reads as a scion which
is designated by the first couple of characters in the vin itself.

if you dont have emissions or smog, get your ___ to it and show us
what you can do

whatever you do.. good luck

Dude, she hasn't been on since 9-12-14 and joined only a week before that boasting about her skills. It's all junk. Don't expect anything. But I'm the bad guy, as you see in the joke beginning of this thread. Junk.
