^Seen that posted on FB a bit. Didn't think it would happen this soon though, figured having traction control off would be part of the failure to maintain control.

He gets zero sympathy from me. But I guess this is what happens when you have young buyers with no experience driving a RWD car thinking they're Speed Racer.

Agreed. Dude should of practiced on something a little less valuable. Its like trying to wheelie a brand new street bike...

I bet he feels like a HUGE jackass. How many miles did "wonderboy" have under his belt with this car?

Thats why there will be MORE accidents w/ the FRS...People driving FWD cars their whole life switching to a RWD car is a different driving technique!

I know a few people that take a turn in a RWD and did the same thing by totaling out the car becuz they had NO clue how to drive RWD.

There is IMO no significant difference UNLESS you are near or at the limits of adhesion. If you get off the gas quickly and brake you're apt to over-correct in the opposite direction and lose the rear end of a RWD car because you'll be shifting weight (and grip) to the front tires. Unless you are already beyond the limits of adhesion a little additional power to the rear wheels should help straighten you out. A problem could be a person going into a turn and in panic hitting the brakes. He's apt to lose it then.

I never driven RWD before test driving one last week. I didn't feel the difference UNLESS I babied it around more than I thought. I will tell you; the brakes work so smoothly. Very quick to make a complete stop.

Subaru BRZ Fastest Car Off Dealer Lots in May
This should come as no surprise to our site members, but Subaru BRZs are peeling out of dealer lots very soon after arriving. In fact, it spent the least time in American showrooms than any car in May, according to Edmunds.
The service tracked the days to turn, commonly known as churn rate, for the coupe in May, its first month of sales. Demand for the 271 units sold by dealers translated to a churn rate of four days, Edmunds said. The Scion FR-S, which was co-developed with the BRZ, experienced a five-day churn. Continued HERE.

I need to see a better pic to make a final judgment, but i think i like them better.
to be honest though, i don't think the stock FR-S 17s look good anyway.
especially when every other alloy wheel offered optional or standard from scion have looked really good, IMO.

I think the stock 16s that are offered on the lower spec 86/BRZ outside the US look much better, besides the fact they happen to be 16s.

I don't really like the 16's, maybe it's just me. The 17's without definitely give it a different look but the stockies are growing on me, just a bit.

Thread needs more pics. Made an extra stop after Cars&Coffee last Saturday.
