Old news. The crazy thing is, people are dumb enough to buy it.

The sad thing is that the Toyota IQ has been out hear in the UK for the last 1 - 1.5 years and for a fraction of what that will cost. Just like the Toyota Urban Cruiser is that same as the Scion Xd and next year they are releasing the Toyota Ft-86 when the US will a year later will have the Scion FRS.

Actually, only owners of Aston Martins will be able to purchase the Cygnet.

Would love to get the AM Badges. It's a wrong-side-of-the-car driver, with some Oldsmobile side vents, fancy upholstery, different font and tail lights ... for twice the price.

Actually, they're about triple the price of a Toyota iQ. Bought by the very, very wealthy for the staff or kids. Having the car in the Aston Martin inventory helps improve their corporate fuel economy numbers. That's likely the #1 reason for them selling it. The interior leather is very nice.

I've been tracking my iQ's MPG - driving a combo of city and some minor highway ... hit 39.9 MPG ... looking forward to my first highway only tankful - I'm guessing I can easily pull 45 MPG or better. Loving this car.

sounds possible, but the iQ is a city car, it isn't really designed for long interstate travel which is why it has small gas tank, no cruise control, also with such a small boxy shape, it'll probably be buffeted by larger vehicles going by quite badly. be careful!

That is why I recommend the TRD Lowering Springs and Anti-Sway Bar for anyone who buys an iQ. Those two investments alone make highway travel easy and if you add a Cold Air Intake, your performance and gas mileage improve as well.

The ason Martin Cygnet is a special order vehicle only. The price or the car is in the neighborhood of $50,000 US. It is currently only going to be offered to current owners of other Aston Martin products. Here are a few pictures of the car.

Not a big fan of the Aston Martin interior color selection - but wish we had that "leather bag" glovebox option here! I did a side-by-side comparison of the I-Q's nearest automotive rivals (Fiat 500, Mini Cooper, and Smart ForTwo). Makes me even happier that I picked this car.

Unfortunately, the airbag arrangement in the US vehicle mitigates against the hanging glovebox option. You could install a Yaris arm rest for storage; see the DIY section on http://www.iq-forums.com/forums/scio...eneral-forums/ for my article on how to do so.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it's better than what we started with.
