Center console
#2
There has been a lot of conversation about this. There are a couple of aftermarket arm rests out there that will work but none appear to be a perfect fit or look that good. There is a small cheap bin sold by Target that can be used as a catch all. I have a friend who is actually working on the pattern for a center console / arm rest for the iQ. I'll post up if and when he works something out.

I found a fabric/with wire frame basket that fits very well at The Container Store. I bought a deep one and a shallow one half the length. The smaller one fits into the deep one and slides back and forth allowing easy access. It's perfect for holding stuff. Wish I knew how to post a pic.

Well, the cardboard pieces slipped right over the original armrest which is about as thick as a laptop. Those cardboard pieces were 2" thick and longer than the armrest itself. Imagine the box a laptop comes in and it was the end pieces that support the laptop at the ends. Wrapped bubble wrap around that and took duct tape and tightly went around about 8x's to get a smooth feel. Then the fuzzy sock was last. It's very comfortable and not too ghetto looking

I am working on a center console extension/sub enclosure design right now, but it's going to be a bit before I get it completed as I haven't had much time to devote to the new addition to the family yet.
I don't care for the lack of armrest and the wifey doesn't want the sub visible like it is in my 1st gen B, so the intention is to use a JL 6w3v3 in a ported, downfiring setup. I haven't decided if the port will face down or up. I guess it depends on the amount of port noise the setup makes considering the port mouth will only be 3/4" wide. If it's too noisy, I'll face the port downward. I'll follow up with pics once the build is well underway.

I posted this in the armrest thread, but it makes sense to mention it here...
How about this little thing that fits into the center cup holder? If you aim it backwards, it might be in the right position to rest an arm. It has storage too.

I bought a little black center consolefrom Pep Boys for $5.99 that fit behind the factory center console between the back seats. It has 2 cupholders, CD case tray, change holder, and a regtangle misc. area. It fit perfect and tight into that area.

Scion IQ Center floor armrest Anyone?
I Just purchased a 2014 IQ and am trying to do a few items on it:
1-armrest- can't find anyone in the after market
2-dashbord cover to at least hold "something"
3-rear extension to bumper somehow
Anyone, thoughts, ideas
I did find a front license plate which has a bumper on it through amazon (expecting delivery Monday)
