I forgot to post a bay shot with the panel in....
I could have put a good deal more engraving on the panel, but didn't want to over do it and have it look cluttered.
My grill is waiting impatiently for its new badge.....

Hey guys, I got a chance to machine a front badge this weekend. Decided to see what the Arc Reactor would look like....
Whadda ya think?
Video clip of the badge being cut: http://www.cncfusion.com/images/SCIO...-surfacing.mp4
This was after 24hrs in the tumbler. It was much shinier, but not mirror finish. I kind of like the machined look.
I am STILL waiting for the center cap material to arrive...

For the rear hatch garnish could you use this image? Maybe have the symbols and the first circle centered in the oval (just one circle. that second circle in the image could be just be considered the left over oval of the badge) http://homepage.mac.com/merussell/se...minimalist.jpg

Fallacy, can you find a image with less clutter around the characters? All those little bumps and what not make it difficult to convert them to CAD. Or if you can trace the characters with pencil/paper, then scan it and sent it to me that works well.
Glad you like those bands, I really like Vallon.
cheers,

Would this picture work? Obviously I just want the outline of the letters and not the "worn" look. let me know. http://www.pdxbrowncoats.com/images/...-nose-logo.jpg

That look absolutely fantastic! I need it for the rear. I have an RS3 so my grille came with a logo delete. Can you make it convex? If not, no biggie, just make sure it doesn't stick out further than the garnish. You ship them raw after running them through the tumbler right? I can do the painting.
Out of all the trinkets I've put into my car (near 10k), this is probably the coolest

I will make it a thin as possible, and run it though the tumbler overnight. I'm probably not going to do any painting.... Cool thing about it being aluminum instead of plastic, you can soak it in paint thinner if you mess up and start over.
Here is a side view showing the convex curve....
