Default Foglights for RS 3.0 bodykit

I am having trouble finding fog lights that will fit my kenstyle body kit. Anyone out there have any ideas? I know they make JDM foglights, but they only fit the stock tc.

again, there are no jdm parts for the tc.

and i don't think the stock ones will fit the rs3 because the lower grill is wider than the stock ones.

if i had an rs3 and really wanted stock lights, i would get some decent foglights to put in the fake air ducts, and an oem style rocker switch from oznium for the nice integrated look.

thinking about it, you'd have to come up with something yourselves because i mean, there are only like what, 2500 rs3.0 tc's right? how many of them would want to pay for foglights made just for their car, who would make them, how much would they cost.

you'll just have to get creative.

I called my local dealership and they said the stock ones will fit. I just dont think the fogs should go there. It makes the air vents look that much worse. And I also dont want to spend $425.00 for the stock lights.

Im confused then with your #1 rule. I just went on ebay looking for foglights and that is how they are described. "JDM" and "OEM".

okay, yeah, the stock ones will fit because the lower grill is the same size as the non rs scion tc's, the ken style bumper just has those black corners to make it look wider.

now, there are vrd fog lights that are designed to go into the fake air vents on stock scion tc's, and even fit tc's with lip kits, but they have to be cut.

there are also thos "jdm" ebay fog lights that are kinda fuggly with the orange markers and such.

now, because of the special lip kit, these foglights won't fit unless you want cut the bumper to make them fit, or pay somebody to do it.

also, you can get oem foglights for the tc from trdsparks for 330, not 425.

or you can get whatever other foglights you want, and pay somebody to cut your bumper and such to make them fit, price will probably be the same unless you know how to do it all yourself.

and the oem foglights are fine, and would probably look pretty good.

jdm means japanese domestic market.

you can get jdm parts for scions like the xa and first gen xb because toyota sold them in japan as the toyota ist and toyota bb.

the oem parts used on the japanese versions of the xa and xb are called jdm.

oem parts for the xa and xb are usdm, or united states domestic market.

the tc is made and only made for sale in the united states and canada. it is not sold in japan, therefore there are NO jdm parts for it.

but idiots on ebay sell junk and say they are jdm parts to sell to bigger idiots that don't even know what they're driving.

not picking on you, just trying to educate.

You could look into custom fitting IS300 or PIAA fogs into those fake vents.

it is all up to you.

if you have the time money, know-how, get some nice fogs like hella, piaa, optilux whatever, some people even make cheap walmart fogs work. take out the grills in your faux air vents, mount the fogs there, wire them up, hook them up to an oznium oem rocker switch. mission accomplished.

but if you don't want to go through all that trouble, get the oem foglight kit from www.trdsparks.com, and install it yourself or take it to your dealership for installation.

now, like i said, foglights for the rs3.0 tc would be a very narrow market to persue since there aren't as many rs 3.0 tc's, and not even all of them will want foglights, and not all of them will want the same set as everybody else.

so it is either oem lights, or custom. entirely up to you.

Yeah i've been thinking about the OEM ones also but not sure if I'll like the look or not. I know the VRD ones say that it will not fit the RS3's because of the kenstyle lip kit because i was going to get them. they only work with the Regular TC lip kit. So our searh continues.
