Does anybody have these in their VRD Fogs? :
I'm curious how the light output would be...I'm know it's nothing like HIDs but if anyone has these and has pics, it'd be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

LEDs don't have the light output to actually put enough usable light on the ground for driving. They're more for show than anything else. They might be good for daytime running lights though. I would like to see someone come out with other colors though.
These look interesting, but again, not enough light output.

I found this...it's a Pontiac Grand AM with LED Fogs...In the first picture, the left side has the LED bulb and the right side is standard halogen. The second pic has both LEDs in.

The housing would have to be designed to use LEDs. The halogen housings wouldn't reflect most of the light to provide a decent output. The LED shines forward, missing most of the reflector behind the bulb. Now, if someone designed a bulb that could shine light in all directions, it would help a little. Unless there is a projector to help with light output, I would doubt that there would be enough light to actually be of any help.

I totally agree that HIDs are FAR brighter...there's no doubt. I'm just curious more than anything.

The multiple LEDs angling in different directions should help utilize the reflector in the housing.

wow, um... hmm... hids put out enought light for you to see the road, leds put out enough light to see the light housing... i can drive around with just my fogs on and be able to see at night with them perfectly fine. i doubt you would even see any output with the leds. but hey if you wanna waste your money for looks go for it. call me crazy but i like my foglights to function for me...

Do I really have to repeat myself? There's no need for you to have an attitude man. We ALL know HIDs are brighter...stop preaching to the choir.
