loose plastic trim piece for sunroof

loose plastic trim piece for sunroof
I have a 2005 model, the plastic piece is loose in the center but still won't come off completely since the sides are still attached. Not sure how is it suppose to stay on, as now when after car wash, it may get knocked slightly loose in the center of the trim piece and catch wind when driving. Which ends up vibrating and makes a loud wind noise, all I end up doing is push it back down until next time...
I am thinking of putting some glue down to glue it, but that doesn't seem right... wondering anyone else knows about this?
thanks.

I'm not sure which piece you are Referring to? Here is a Exploded Diagram:
After 11 years, it does not surprise me that plastic trim gets loose. More than likely the piece is warp where it snaps in or the clips / mounts are worn.
Unless, you want to buy a new piece.
Irregardless, which piece it is, I would try some heavy duty double-sided mounting tape before I try glue:
3M Scotch 1 in. x 1.66 yds. Outdoor Mounting Tape-411DC-SF - The Home Depot

thanks, I am leaning down that path. Although I don't see the piece in your diagram. I'll try to take a pic later and post it. What my worry is, there's nothing "clean" to glue it to, and I am not sure what is exposed or not to rain/weather.
It looks like the location of piece #10, but the drawing is interesting as I think it is mostly smooth and its a plastic trim piece on the outside of the car. I don't see where I can double side tape it to, as it looks to me its cliped on, but besides the mount/clip it may be using it is really "floating" by itself, thus nothing to tape it to... anyway, a few pictures should help explain it.

like said above is it really in the middle of the sunroof? i don't know of any exposed plastic that would catch wind there when it is closed.
the only exposed pieces i can think of that could come loose would be one of the glass panels themselves or the rubber weather stripping around the windshield. if that has come loose you either have to replace it, which requires taking the windshield out, or try too glue it back down.

@ lightwarp
gjpjr84 is Correct. They called it the Reveal Molding Item #8.
I had a 2006 TCM Toaster and it was a Rock Magnet. I went through 2 windshields and numerous glass repairs.
I would recommend you use Silicone Adhesive.
Seems to me I think that's what one of the Windshield guys use in installing the windshield.

Thanks, I am finally getting around to it, will try the glue option. Just noticed my weather strip thing on the window is starting to come loose too... all the plastic/rubber on the car is starting to show its age. Wish there's a service where they would renew all trims...

Yes. I would use Silicone Adhesive (Clear) around that weatherstrip around the Sun roof
and the window/weatherstrip trim that is coming loose.
Then use Blue painter's tape to hold it in place until it's cured.
It's called Old Age
