Default 2GR-FE Engine Swap

I know you guys think I'm crazy for this... I have an 2007 TC that I did an auto to manual swap with the 2002 Camry 5 speed (after 3 bad TC transmissions) and I recently wrecked my TC pretty bad, I figure there would be no better time to do this than now. I want to do a 2GR-FE swap from a 2007 Camry. I don't have any doubts about being able to make it fit but I would like to see what you guys thought about the idea. Concerns, advice, ideas? Anything is appreciated.

I read through it a few times, I'm just questionable on what ECU I should use exactly. Would it not be easier to get the ecu and wiring harness to match the engine from the Camry?

Talking 2GR-FE Swap Update - Pics

Yo, haven't been on here in a bit! Decided to take a shot in the dark and start the swap last month. After I rolled the car I drove it about 40 miles (with proper escort vehicles) to a warehouse a buddy of mine let me use and it still drove better than ever! Dropped the engine out there and finally got it moved to a friends shop where I could get the real work done. Engine and accessories came out of a Lexus ES350 and fit surprisingly well. Did a 5-Speed swap on this car last year using the e351 transmission. So far I've got the engine and transmission mounted. Still working on the RH Motor mount, ECU and Wiring.

Good luck. Thought about putting my Lexus 300 engine in my RS1, but car runs too good with turbo unit. Might wait until engine blows to undertake. Lots of work......

Dude! I've been working on the same swap for months. I joined the Army so I haven't had time to finish anything. I'm using a second gen tC tranny. It's basically the same thing lotus uses for the Evora. Let me know how it drives after you get it done! Monkey Wrench Racing makes some sweet stuff for the 2GR-FE.

519 is definitely way better. Most I put out was 350 to the wheels. But the idea of having a naturally aspirated (unless he's boosting it) 3.5L in tC to me is terrific! The way the tC should've come from factory lol

I am currently short on money and time My stopping point was after getting an ECU for the 2GR-FE without immobilizer ever programmed at factory and new wiring harness. If anyone out there wants to help I'm totally down! Lots of time and new parts invested to give up now. Next to be done is an engine mount and I think I'll be ready to start it at least... With a few wiring modifications? Idk, taking it step by step at this point. I appreciate all of the support from you guys, I honestly would have given up by now and sold it all off without anyone's support.
