Oh yes. You are completely right. I completely forgot we were talking about the newer tC's. Very good point.

Default CEL problems

I recently purchased a 08 tC and put a AEM Intake on, now I have a perpetual CEL and I don't know how to get rid of it.

I'm a little new to all of this so if someone could help i would be very appreciative

I contacted AEM and they are sending me the system with the ETI module, apparently there are 2 different systems that fit the 08 tC

That's great that they're helping you out, but why would they sell a system that trips the cel?

The way the rep explained it to me was that the cars air/fuel ratio has a tolerance level and some systems set that off by moving the ration one way or the other cause the CEL to come on.

Please correct. I called Weapon R. their tC kit is NOT CARB approved.

Very misleading. I almost ordered it.

I have searched the forums and haven't had much luck finding anything. Any feedback from the TRD drop in filter?

Do you gain any performance or is it more for the convenience of not having to buy a bunch of paper filters?

Save money. Just buy the K&N drop in filter instead. Not all TRD parts are worth the extra money. Unless of course you're a TRD fanatic.
I have a tC2 now and was about to buy the TRD Sway Bars for it since I had the TRD Rear Sway Bar on my tC1. Come to find out the patent wasn't approved for them.
Yet they're were not only selling them but installing them at dealerships.
