I mean, they don't offer too many different brands for the 2AZ so you really can't win. I'm not a Brian Crower fan either. Both Kelford and Brian Crower have repeated issues with their profiles and centerlines. But with you not even pushing 200hp, you won't even notice, so I really didn't need to say anthing. But if you were boosted and pushing 400hp, you could have issues if you got a bad batch. Manufacture malfunctions are part of the game and it's always a crap shoot no matter what you get, it's just that Kelford is known a little more for issues you know.

You don't need sleeves. The 2AZ is a tough bottom end. Your upgraded pistons and rods will be plenty. No need to spend $1500 on sleeves. I've done that, and still had rods go through them. And if your walls get scored up for some reason, just spend the money to bore it out a little more and get bigger pistons. Tranny is important as you mentioned, axles are even more important (which a lot of people do not do and do not think that it is possible to spin those right off), and obviously the LSD.

You know, I'm not sure. I mean raising up compression should do a world of a difference for this car, but, eh... I don't know if the pflow is low from the port sizes or what! Read up on some builds and look at what they've done.

probably the most informed thread to follow for N/A would be TCPETE.
Think he made around 220whp w/o building the head and self tuned on a piggyback. So in theory I should make more from a head and standalone ecu. Regardless it'll be a fun ride when its done.

No, you are right, higher compression is going to bring up your horsepower quite a bit, and yes, it'll be plenty fun and you WILL notice the difference. I was just letting my friend here, Firebones, know unbeneficial it CAN be to do an N/A build. I'm still pumped to your see you're set up and see a couple pulls.

My Sol was 13.1/1 which I know doesn't compare to the 2AZ, but even with everything... just odd. I know its not beneficial if your looking for serious power gains... that's why im going boost!!
And yes... I wanna see the numbers too!
