Default N/A Tunning tips/Ideas (engine management )

Howdy guys finally have my tc back in running order! Just put on a new intake manifold and worked out a custom CAI after a much needed retro fitting. I'm currently running a fully integrated N/A set up from the top of the end to the block and bottom end. I'm looking for a way to get the most out of my engine with an engine management system. I'm no tuner but I am a college student with a lot of time on my hands... So I'm down to learn if someone can put me on the right path. I'm currently running an AEM FI/C. I really just want a way to exploited this motor to the fullest and I need some pointers...

What is the name of that song that you put on the video?

How much power are you making with that set-up?

Watching! I'm running the 12.5:1 camry hybrid pistons and looking to do the rx-8 throttle body myself. Have you had any issues with those cams the car, seems to run just fine with them in and did you notice any real change in power without a tune?

Right now I'm making 236 at the wheels and about 254 tourque. And I believe the song after the first half is seiara leone by mt eden. I know I could be making more power if I had a proper tune with some type of cam and vvti control.

I know this motor can handle big pistons/cams and all the goodies. I've put close to 30,000 miles on since my rebuild... If I'm honest without a tune those big cams had the stock ecu crappin it's pants and forgot how to idle. You need some type of fuel and ignition controller. But to make more power I need some type of, again, cam/vvti control. Please tc gods help me!!!!! I want the first NA 250 whp 2az!!!

The new aem standalone unit is supposed to be amazing. Then again, it is expensive.

@rollertoaster do you have a link for it? Wouldn't mind checking out what it can do. I'm looking for something around the $800 dollar rang, a system capable of a two step would be sick!!! But not needed...

I know... but seriously, you get what you pay for. Dropping the cash for well tuned high performance engine management was hands down the best thing I've ever done for my car.

How much did those pistons end up costing you? I've been thinking about upping the compression ratios!!

Car's currently stuck in the garage after a new intake manifold instal and new vacuum block... The tune is all out of wack and can't idle. Hence this thread here, I'll take a quick little overview video just so people know I'm not dropping a brick here.

No worries there man! The money will be spent with no skin of my wrist. I just needed a bit of positive reinforcement before spending the money lol.

I'm preeetty sure that's the one the guys at descendant were telling me about. I'm not really good with all the different types though.

Buy your AEM EMS from Dezod and you will never want for another answer concerning your purchase again.

I have first hand experience with both Dezod's and also AEM's customer service. Trust me, you want to have Dezod on your team.

As of right now I could us some love on my side of the team for sure!!! Just gotta save up the money, part ways with the FIC and then it's off to the races. I also went over the intake manifold this afternoon and found a vacuum line which finagled its way out of its home! So, for those who are watching, keep watching for a new video here to come soon!
