What on earth could this part possibly do?
So i posted about a part that fell off of my 2006 tc. Someone told me it was an engine mount damper, and I found the part number and stuff online. Its like an 18 dollar part #12351. I found someone else's thread about replacing the front motor mount and I saw a picture of it. Its the round thing with the green dot on it attached to the motor mount bracket. No bolt goes through it or anything. i cant even figure out how it was attached in the first place. It looks like it was just glued to the bracket as there is no hole on the inside of the bracket for anything to slide into. I'm so confused, do I even need to put it back on?

Edit: Here is what it looks like (from the top looking down into the engine bay) without the damper. As you can hopefully see it just looks like a big washer with a nut welded to it, screwed on to a thread that must be welded to the bracket. If you look at the inside of the bracket its completely flat, so the thread does not go through it. What is the point of this damper and how would it even go back on?
